A new cosmetic surgery technique could see unwanted fat from other areas of a patient’s body being used to form natural breast implants.
Dubbed the ‘two-in-one’ operation, cosmetic surgeons first remove fat from unwanted areas such as the thighs, stomach and hips and transplant this fat into the breast area to enhance and enlarge the breasts.
The cosmetic surgery will be available in the UK for the first time early next year thanks to cosmetic surgery company the Harley Medical Group.

New advances have been made in breast enlargements which allows stem cells taken from a patient’s stomach or thigh to grow new breast tissue and create a natural breast implant. At present, the patient can only go up by one cup size however as the surgery develops, it is expected that bigger augmentations will be possible in the future.

Recent rumours have it that Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, are not seeing eye to eye on a cosmetic surgery issue.
The twins, who have recently returned to the spotlight to promote their new book, Influence, are said to be arguing over breast implants. It is understood that Ashley is considering having her breasts augmented and is attempting to persuade her sister to have surgery at the same time so that it is not so obvious that she has had cosmetic surgery.

Until recently, women who wanted larger breasts had to undergo cosmetic surgery and implants. However, thanks to a new filler called the Macrolane filler, larger breasts are just an injection away.
Macrolane can also help those who are thinking about going under the knife in order to get bigger breasts, but are unsure about their decision and would like to ‘see’ the results before they go ahead with the operation. Macrolane is only temporary therefore the results fade over time.

The scientific name for breast enlargement surgery is ‘augmentation mammaplasty’.
Procedure: Enhances the size of breasts using inflatable implants
Length: 1 to 2 hours.
Anesthesia: General or local with sedation
In/Outpatient: Usually outpatient.
Side Effects: Temporary soreness, swelling, change in nipple sensation, bruising. Breasts may be sensitive to stimulation for a few weeks after surgery
Risks: Implants may need to be replaced/removed to treat problems such as deflation, formation of scar tissue around the implant, bleeding or infection. Nipples and breast skin sensitivity may increase or decrease in sensitivity, permanently. Some women have reported symptoms similar to those of immune disorders. Ask your doctor about these and other FDA concerns.
Recovery: 3 to 7 days: Back to work
3 to 4 weeks: Physical contact with breasts
2 months +: Scars start to fade
Duration of Results: Variable. Implants may require removal or replacement.
