scarring

Postby janeff » Fri Aug 14, 2009 9:06 am

Hi I wondered if anyone could offer advice.
I had an S-lift nearly 3 yrs ago, (lifestyle lift as its known in the US)
All went well but after some months I noticed the scars around my ears were protruding and quite raised up, (the scars were at the front of my ear not tucked away behind the ear as I expected)
After nearly 3 yrs the problem has become worse and I am very self conscious about it. I have been back to see my surgeon and he has recommened I have a course of steroid injections to 'flatten' the appearance of the scars. I have only had one injection to date which has had no effect at all, I now have to wait till sept as the surgeon is not available very often in my area.
My question is , has anyone had steroid injections for this problem and are they effective
many thanks
jane

Sorry if I can't give you an advice. But reading in your story is very scary indeed.

Just remember in doing like this is to assure that the surgeon is license.
