Non-surgical Rhinoplasty?

A nonsurgical nose-job has hit America’s surgeries and is already been touted as the equivalent of the lunch-time Botox session. The new procedure uses and old product - Radiesse. Radiesse has been around for several years and is generally used as a wrinkle filler, however last week, the Food and Drug Administration approved it’s use in nose and chin reshaping.

Injections of Radiesse into the nose can help straighten or smooth the appearance of the nose, and avoids the need for general anesthetic. The procedure takes around 15 minutes to complete, and only local numbing cream is needed. The cost is about $1,500 and the patient can return to normal activities immediately. The fix lasts around about a year. According to the Amrtican Society of Plastic Surgeons, rhinoplasty is the second most popular form of cosmetic surgery, just after liposuction.

Surgeons are predicting that the surgery will be very popular; people who fear knives will be able to get the surgery done, the cost is a lot lower (average rhinoplasty costs are $10,000), and the surgery does normally revert back after a year so if you don’t like the results, you won’t be stuck with them for life, or have to have more surgery to correct it.

However, caution is advised by some. Adding volume to the nose may be counterproductive and lead to an unsatifactory result if you already have a fairly generous nose - particularly as most people want a small, delicate nose and not a large one. Many people also would like surgery to be permanent, and this new technique is not.

    hi dave,
i’m the doctor that invented the procedure.
there is now a non surgical nose job (non surgical rhinoplasty) procedure that is permanent. i am starting to use artefill instead of radiesse to achieve the same great results. the only difference is that artefill is a permanent filler, whereas radiesse lasts for 1 year. artefill was just fda approved in january. i am recommending that people get the temporary non surgical nose job procedure first, make sure they like the results and only after the radiesse disappears to get the artefill procedure. after all, once you put in artefill, you can’t take it out.
if you’d like more information on the non surgical nose job procedure, feel free to give me a call at the office at 310 443 5273.
for more information and photos, you can take a look at my website: http://www.westsidemedicalspa.com.
    hope that helps,

    Hi

I work for a cosmetic surgery and non surgical treatment company, whilst you can achive some results with fillers it would depend on what about your nose you woud like to change.

In your post about you mention the length, this would have to be a surgical procedure, whilist minor lumps can be filled out with fillers.

In terms of costs each patient is different as it will depend on what exactly you would like to have done.

Have a look at our website for a bit more indepth information
