The AACS announces it’s 2006 results

The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) has recently announced the results of it’s 2006 Procedural Data. The data is collected by surveying it’s US members.
The results show that for the seventh year in a row, liposuction is the top cosmetic surgical procedure, and botox tops the list of non-invasive cosmetic procedures. This follows on from the UK’s results, which also show liposuction being the top cosmetic surgeru procedure. The survey also shows that the number of men going under the knife has increased by 3% over the past 4 years, and 1/5 of all cosmetic procedures are now carried out on men.
Over 1.2 million patients undergo some sort of cosmetic surgery per year in the US, with 34% of procedures being surgical and 66% being non-surgical.
