Debbie Harry – it was for business reasons

Debbie Harry, best known for fronting pop group Blondie, has defended her decision to go under the surgeon’s knife – she has stated she decided to have cosmetic surgery for “business reasons”.

The singer admitted she wanted to do something to preserve her good looks and felt that cosmetic surgery was “something she had to do.” She believes that having the surgery has lifted her career and she has no regrets.

“Everybody knows that I have had plastic surgery,” Harry remarked. “I did it for business reasons – you photograph better, and looks are a key part of being an entertainer so I felt it was something I had to do. All sorts of horrific things happen in life – why make it all worse by worrying about getting older? Do some charity work or learn a new skill instead.”
